Today we went to Aloha Stadium to see what was going on with the Pro Bowl. I guess both teams, AFC and NFC were practicing today along with other events. We got there decked out in our Raiders gear when we ran into this guy:
RAIDER NATION UNITE!!!!
Actually, he ran into us! Anyways, we talked a little about the Raiders and then headed inside the stadium. There were lots of people representing their favorite teams. The cheerleaders were there as well, doing the same routine they did here at AMR.
After we headed out to the Swap Meet to see if we can find the NFL guy that sells all the pro gear. We couldn't. So then we hit up this awesome chicken teriyaki booth and grabbed some grub. We sat at a near by table when two older ladies that just bought some chicken came by and sat with us (everyone had to share a table due to it being congested). Well, guess who's mama and grandma it was! Brian Waters,#54 from the Kansas City Chiefs. We talked with them over lunch and told them
about some of the fun touristy things to do here. They were staying over at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, that's where we stayed when we got here too! :) They told us the players had to stay at Ko Olina, which is way far out from Waikiki...okay about as far out as you can get on a little island. We had fun chatting it up them though and after lunch said our good byes.
Tomorrow we'll be tailgating. It's an early one,too. Kick off is at 11:30am here in Hawaii so we are going to be at the stadium at 6:30-7am. I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures so I can show you how much fun we had! In the meantime, check out some I got of the guys practicing. My camera is no where as cool and great as Jessica's, but it'll have to do! Enjoy!
