Yesterday morning after researching China Airlines flights (we checked on the website) we decided to check on the first flight into Hawaii since Mom and Dad's flight was canceled. The first one in was at 7:20am. We showed up at the airport gate and waited to see if they'd come out. We waited....and waited... and waited....it felt like they were the last people off of a 300 hundred person flight! I was about to leave and Todd said they're were other people waiting still so there had to be others coming off. Finally, there they were! :) So now my parents are officially here! We already hit up the Hickam Exchange, Navy Exchange and commissary. Today we'll probably hit up Walmart, Circuit City, and Best Buy. Lots of shopping to do before Christmas!
Mom and I are on our way out the door now to do a little workout. Trying to keep up with all the extra eating I'm doing around here! I'll keep you all updated on more of our outings as they come about!
Wishing your Mom and Dad the best of times out there!! I'm sure you told them hello already from me :). I wish you all a Merry Christmas and I'd love to make it out to Thailand sometime. Christy, let me know when you're thinking of going again. I know, I gotta get to Hawaii first...one step at a time!! Enjoy the family time, it's truly a blessing! -G
