So Saturday I hosted the CGSA Cheese and Crackers Club Wine Tasting Party. The Cheese and Crackers Club is a club that meets once a month to taste some new and favorite wines from a featured country or grape (Merlot, Chardonney, etc.). Last month was white wines so this month I picked a favorite wine country, Chile. It was so fun! We had 4 featured wines, 3 red, one white. Some people brought some wine also, which we drank as well. :) There were 9 of us there (including myself) and we went through 12 bottles of wine! Like I said, it was fun! I made little note cards that included the name of the wines were tasting along with a quick description of the aromas and finish. I also included the price and a rating section so each person can circle from 1-5 what they thought of the wine. On the back we wrote notes and email/phone numbers of new friends we met at the party. Here's a list of this months featured wines:
Root:1 (Cabernet Sauvignon)
Maquis Lien (Fusion Mix)
Hacienda Araucano (Sauvignon Blanc)
Calina Reserva (Carmenere)
Thanks to everyone that came out, brought some food and wine, and enjoyed the night! It wouldn't have been the same without you. I really look forward to all the clubs the CGSA has to offer, but the Cheese and Crackers club is TOPS!!!! Can't wait to see you all next month! I believe Bobbi will be hosting the next one at her house on November 15th. See you then! In the meantime, enjoy the pics!
